The setting

GTA 6 returns to Vice City for the first time since Vice City Stories, this time set within the larger fictional state of Leonida — Rockstar's take on Florida.

Trailer footage has shown swampland, small coastal towns, a theme park area and dense urban Vice City streets, suggesting a map with more environmental variety than GTA V's Los Santos.

The protagonists

The game follows two playable leads: Lucia Caminos and Jason Duval, marking the first mainline GTA with a female protagonist sharing top billing.

Marketing has drawn comparisons to Bonnie and Clyde, framing the pair's story around a criminal partnership.
